Egyptian-British Chamber of Commerce Conference
Telecom Egypt participates in the conference that will be held by the Egyptian- British Chamber of Commerce as a part of series conferences to discuss the development of human resources in Egypt and challenges facing the ICT and the tourism sector. This conference will be held on Monday, January 19th, 2009 at Grand Hyatt Hotel in Cairo. Many Businessmen in Egypt and United Kingdom and a number of representatives of the Egyptian government will participate in the opening discussions.

Cairo ICT 2009
For the 9th time, Telecom Egypt sponsors Cairo ICT 2009 exhibition that will take place from 8 to 11 February at CICC - Nasr city - under the name "Know before you go." This year, the company participates with different services that will be provided to each of residential and business customers, throughout the booth in the shapr of (Smart Home)
“Smart Home” is an integrated system between the Telecom Egypt and TE Data corporations, where the customer can use the telephone line with internet to facilitate all the tasks related to home very quickly. For example, the client can protect his home from theft or fire through internal alarm system that communicate with the client by sending a sms. In addition, the customer can know who visited him at home, even if he outside the home, by taking photographs of visitors.
The smart home solutions will open the doors and control home lighting system morning and evening. The client also can access the internet over the phone calling the favorite restaurant and selecting his clothing (colors and size) to be delivered to his house. These services will reflect Telecom Egypt & TE Data progress and their future goals.
Telecom Egypt and TE Data will share one integrated booth for the Third year, which emphasizes the ability of telecom Egypt to lead the future of the communication in Egypt.
The company also offers a range of services to homes and businesses customers both of voice or data transmission services, in addition to the new offers on services currently provided. The large companies can enjoy 40% discount on PRI service.
The most important offer this year is the free 5 months subscription on Caller ID if the customer subscribe to any new VAS. Other various offers such as (Marhaba) offers will be available for all booth visitors.
“Capacity” Conferences
Telecom Egypt sponsors a series of Capacity Conferences in Middle East, Europe and Africa during 2009. The first conference will be held in the Middle East in Dubai, on 23 & 24 February as a part of series of conferences to discuss international calls and international sales issues.
Series of conferences are held in different regions of the world including the Middle East in Dubai in February of each year, as well as in the Africa region in the Kub Town City in October of each year to discuss how the region can be linked to Europe.
The conference also will be held in the European Region in Amsterdam city in November of each year to discuss the connection between the Middle East, Asia and Africa.
First Forum for E-Waste Management
Telecom Egypt sponsors a lunch forum on the First E-Waste Management 2009 that was scheduled to be held and organized by the Center of Environment and Development for Arab Region and Europe (CEDARE). The event will be held in collaboration with a large number of international partners during 9-10 February 2009, at InterContinental Hotel in City Stars.
Road Safety Project
Telecom Egypt sponsors Road Safety project in cooperation with the Ministry of the Interior of (ARE) and the General Authority for Roads and Bridges and the General Department of Traffic.
This good initiative is sponsored by the American Chamber of Commerce in Cairo in collaboration with the Ministry of the Interior of (ARE) and the General Authority for Roads and Bridges and the Department of the Traffic, which aims to develop Mehwar 26 July and the ring road length of 100 km.
The project will provide medical and technical services for both driver and car.
Because the rescue services are the most important factors that contribute to the safety of both drivers on the road and vehicles, the roads have been equipped with radar to ensure compliance with traffic rules, as well as a number of patrol cars. The road is also provided with test equipment for the addiction and faster service in the rescue and emergency situations on the road.

Telecom Egypt sponsors the artist/ Mohamed Mounir concert in a major ceremony celebrating the New Year 2009 at Cairo Opera House.

Telecom Egypt Sponsors Zamalek Inner Wheel Club concert, a good market (Made in Egypt), that will be held on Saturday, March 7th, in Cleopatra Hall at Semiramis Intercontinental Hotel.
The income will be dedicated for club charitable projects such as the funding of Egyptian Food Bank, Elkasr Eleny hospital and purchasing of artificial lung mchine for the critical operating room at the hospital.
Horreyaty Magazine Anniversary
Telecom Egypt sponsors Horreyaty Magazine concert, which will be held in March 1st, 2009 – in Saraya Hall at Intercontinental City Stars on the occasion of celebrating its 19th anniversary.
Wael Gassar, Hakeem, Hayfaa Wahby, and many singers will participate in the concert where the prizes will be distributed to the winners in social, cultural, and art field.

Women's Society for Human Development Charity Concert
Telecom Egypt sponsors a charity concert for the Women's Society for Human Development (My Life) which will be held on Monday, 27th April 2009, at the large theater in Opera House. The concert income will be dedicated to complete construction of Achmoun hospital in Menofeya. It is dedicated also for blindness hospital and for the "Hayaty" orphanage.
A group of ministers and statesmen and businessmen will attend the ceremony.
